A simple way to plan a personal gallery wall

Turn a few favorite prints into a balanced wall arrangement with scale and spacing in mind.

Choose an anchor

Begin with the artwork you want to notice first. It might be a colorful celestial scene, a soft nursery illustration or an understated botanical print. Put that piece near the center of your arrangement, then place smaller works around it. Mixing categories can make a wall feel collected rather than copied.

Consider the wall itself: a narrow hall suits a different rhythm from the space above a sofa. Measure the available area and sketch approximate frame sizes before ordering any prints.

Try the arrangement before hanging

Lay frames on the floor or trace them onto paper and tape the shapes to the wall. Keep a consistent gap between neighboring frames to give different artwork a shared structure. Photograph two or three arrangements and compare them in daylight.

If a print feels visually too busy beside another, introduce a simpler piece or give each a little more room. Frame color can be a connecting thread without making every frame identical.

Print with care

Confirm each product’s dimensions and format before choosing a frame. Ask the print shop about the best size for that particular file. Store the purchased files safely once downloaded; the private download window runs for 30 days after payment.
